designing a logo

How i created my logo

To create my logo i used Adobe Photoshop. I chose to do this because the software has a lot of features which allow for additional, precise and accurate manipulation of my image.
Firstly, I created the shapes for my logo using the rectangle shape tool, making use of the copy and paste feature to ensure accurate and equal measurements for the top and side of the camera.
I used the eclipse tool and manipulated them to be spherical shapes. I copy and pasted the shape to make sure that the shape of the two spheres were the same. I then used the free transform tool to make one of the circles smaller than the other to create the smaller film reel. i also used the copy and paste and the colour changer tool to create the see through effect for the reels

The photoshop rectangle shape tool as standard has straight edges, I decided that this makes the logo look less realistic and more off-putting for a potential client to look at. To fix this, I used the 'corner radius' tool to make the edges of my rectangles rounded. This also helps the shapes fit into each other and makes the whole logo look a lot smoother and sleeker. I set the values as 9.63 for all of the rectangles to ensure that they remain consistent on all edges.

I used the grid tool to make sure all of the shapes I was creating were a consistent size. I also used it to make sure i was centering my text inbetween the logo and there was no uneven gaps or spaces.
